Hendon progressed to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup at the expense of Marlow. Despite a disappointing performance in the opening period, the Greens went in at half-time a goal ahead courtesy of a James Bent penalty in the 18th minute. It must be said that the Greens were very grateful for the performance of James Reading, who made a number of important saves and interceptions during the first half.

Things were a bit more comfortable in the second half, with Reading only being tested by a stray backpass. The win was secured in the 86th minute when Glenn Garner slammed home a rebound after Kieron Drake had saved Harry Hunt's initial shot.

The draw for the next round will be made on Monday, and will be announced on this website as soon as it is available.
