Canvey Island are hopeful that Saturday's game will go ahead. Despite the recent heavy rain, there appears to be no apparent problems with the pitch, and the game should go ahead as planned.

Meanwhile, Matthew Bartholomew has returned to the club following his 3 month loan spell at Yeading, which has given him some much needed first team match practice. He now is available for selection on Saturday, although he has become cup-tied in the Middlesex Senior Cup and the FA Trophy. Warren Kelly is also available for selection having served a one-match suspension last Saturday missing the Heybridge Swifts game.
