Hendon ended their Purfleet hoodoo at Claremont Road with their first win at home over the Essex side since the 1994/1995 season. Hendon were forced to work hard in grinding out the result, but it was a piece of bad defending that gifted the Greens their goal - Woodruffe latching onto a poor backpass to slot the ball home for a goal on his debut for the Dons.
