A change of name for today's opponents failed to see a change of fortune for the Greens at the Thurrock Hotel. The home side eventually ran out 2-0 winners, with Hendon rarely being allowed to threaten Thurrock's goal. The first goal came in the 28th minute, when a corner was only half cleared by the Dons' defence, before it was knocked back in to Clif Akurang, who put the ball away. It wasn't until the 90th minute that the Essex side extended their lead, Tresor Candol rising unmarked at the far post to put the result beyond doubt.
