Our opponents in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup in a fortnights time will be Royston Town, who won 3-1 at AFC Hayes in the preliminary round today. In the previous round Royston beat our future landlords Wembley 4-0 in a replay following a 1-1 draw. Royston is in north east Hertfordshire a little bit further up the A10 from Ware. They currently ply their trade in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One, three steps below the Greens, and are lying fifth in the table, although they have games in hand on the teams above them. The game will take place on Saturday 13th September, kicking off at 3.00pm.
