Greens need a bit of luck

Hendon went down to their fourth consecutive defeat, this time at the hands of Billericay Town. The only goal of the game came in the 8th minute when Bradley Wood-Garness fired a fierce shot from 25 yards which, despite Joe Welch getting his hands to it, slipped beyond his grasp and into the net. Billericay had the better of the first half, but Hendon came out all guns blazing but were unable to find a way back into the game. They found Billericay keeper Jack Buckfield in fine form, along with his defenders. Hendon's best chance fell to Lubomir Guentchev who saw his shot smothered by Buckfield after he'd broken into the 18 yard box. The Greens go into the weekend game at Canvey Island knowing that they just need to keep plugging away and that their luck will change, hopefully sooner rather than later.
