Hendon came away from Taunton this evening with a convincing 3-0 win. After weathering the early storm from the home side, an attacking Hendon line up took control of the game. The opening goal came in the 29th minute when a right wing corner beat everyone in the area. Danny Butler crossed the ball back across the goal and René Street leaped high to head the ball home. The second goal came in the 67th minute when Ross Pickett drove the ball into the net from 20 yards, and the win was confirmed fifteen minutes later when a totally unmarked Pickett fired home a cross from Eugene Ofori. It was an excellent performance all round and gave the travelling support plenty to shout and sing about. The next round will be drawn on Monday, and takes place on Saturday 15th January 2005. Consequently our home game against Chelmsford City fixed for that day has been postponed. We can also confirm that this Tuesday's game against Windsor & Eton will definitely go ahead as Windsor lost 4-1 at Grays Athletic this afternoon.
