Despite a battling hardworking performance, Hendon went down to a 2-0 defeat at Northwood, the goals coming in stoppage time of each half. The first goal came in the first minute of first half stoppage time when debutant keeper James Courtnage failed to deal with the ball and Kris McHale was able to stab the ball home from close range. The second goal came a minute into second half stoppage time when Ben Abbey beat the offside trap, and leaving Dean Coppard in his wake, he finished clinically to put the game out of reach. In both cases, the whistle to end the half went within 30 seconds. Other than the two goals, neither side really tested the keepers, Hendon's best chance falling to Ross Pickett who headed just wide. Hendon also had a clear penalty shout turned down when René Street was pushed over midway through the second half but ended the day goalless and pointless as their barren run of results continued.
