A fortnight ago we were shocked and saddened to learn that former Hendon Youth team manager Martin Herring had died. Martin, who collapsed suddenly, was just 48 years old. He joined us ten years ago and he was given charge of our newly formed under 15 team. The following season, as under 16's, Martin's side lost just once in the league and finished as runners-up. After that, Martin, a Coventry City fan, moved to the Midlands. To his family and his many friends, and on behalf of everyone at Hendon and the former youngsters who he coached here, we offer our most sincere condolences.
