Latvian goalkeeper signed on-loan from Barnet for a month in November 2019. Formerly with West Ham, Rihards made his debut for Latvia Under-21s in October with a clean sheet against Bulgaria. Rihards returned to his native Latvia in 2021 where his form in their top flight earned a call-up to the full national squad.
