Golders Green's holiday matches brought them four valuable League points, Wealdstone being twice defeated.

At Wealdstone, on Christmas morning, before a fine crowd, Golders Green were slightly the better balanced team, and were good value for their victory by two goals to none.

Wealdstone won the toss and elected to kick up the slope, but this was of little advantage to them, as the majority of the pressing tn the first half was done by Golders Green, for whom Drinkwater was prominent and often had the defence guessing. It was from his centre that Golders Green opened the score, Evans cleverly jumping over the ball for Breagan to net the ball, Wylde, the home goalkeeper, being completely deceived. At half-time Golders Green led by this goal.

Wealdstone were more prominent in the next half, both wingers, Ryder and Maskell, being dangerous. Hoskins, at centre-forward, was covered too well by Broadis to be effective. Smith, in goal, had one or two awkward shots to deal with, and was once penalised for carrying, but the ball was cleared.

Golders Green's second goal came from Evans, who worked his way out on the right and centred along the ground for Drinkwater to net from close range. This settled the issue, Golders Green running out good winners.
