| Sunday 24th April - Hendon 0 Kensington Dragons 5 |
 |
|
On Sunday, playing their third game in a week, Hendon Under-15s were finally brushed aside by champions Kensington Dragons. Hendon could have jumped out to a 2–0 lead, but wasted a couple of great chances and just before half-time conceded a goal. The lead was doubled early in the second half and, as tiredness set in Hendon players picked up some injuries and Kensington added three more goals. Manager Phil Neville was really pleased with the overall effort from the boys, saying, "We played three matches in a week and the boys have given complete effort. The schedule proved just too much especially as we had to keep injured players on the pitch because we didn’t have enough substitutes."

| Thursday 21st April - Larkspur Rovers 1 Hendon 1 (Hendon won 4-2 on pens) |
 |
|
Phil Neville’s boys had won a tense semi-final playoff on Thursday night. A magnificent header from Assam ZAID gave Hendon a lead, but a late equaliser forced extra time. When it came to the penalty shoot-out, Hendon won 4–2, converting all four kicks, while Larkspur failed twice.

| Sunday 17th April - Hendon 3 LNER St Georges 0 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s returned to action after a six-week absence and showed absolutely no signs in ring rust as they did all their scoring in the opening ten minutes. Under new managers, brothers Phil and Steve Neville, it was another pair of brothers who took centre stage on the pitch. Salah and Fuad ABUUKAR were at the heart of all the good work, FUAD setting up brother SALAH in the opening minute and then scoring himself after five minutes, courtesty of a SALAH pass. In the tenth minute SALAH grabbed his second and that was all Hendon needed to win this Harrow Youth League Supplementary Cup tie and earn a place in the semi-final play-off (away to Larkspur Rovers’ "B" squad sometime this week). "We haven’t had much time to work with the boys," admitted Phil Neville, "but they played very well. My man of the match was Edmir BOKCUI, who I put in at centre half and he was superb."

| Sunday 27th February - Kensington Dragons 14 Hendon 0 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s had a day to forget as they froze in the bitterly cold
condition and could not cope with the speed, direction and class of
Kensington Dragons. A desperately poor opening forty minutes saw Hendon five
goals down at half-time, and the margin would have been far greater if not
for the heroics of goalkeeper Gilad BEER. Although the performance improved
after the break, the goals flowed at regular intervals, nine in all. BEER
was named man of the match by a dejected manager Paul Hornblow.

| Sunday 20th February - Hendon 3 Pinner Albion 4 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s suffered a second-half meltdown and lost 4-3 away to Pinner
Albion in their Harrow Youth League Division Three match on Sunday. Things
were looking very good as they dominated the first half and led 3-0 at the
break, thanks to goals from Mark BLOOMAN, Matthew HORNBLOW and Salah ABUUKAR
after 15, 17 and 30 minutes, respectively. It all went horribly wrong in the
second half. Pinner Albion scored after 50 and 58 minutes to get back in the
game, equalised with a penalty after 65 minutes and won the game with a goal
four minutes from time. "We were brilliant in the first half," said manager
Paul Hornblow, "but we fell apart in the second. My man of the match was
Aidan HOAREAU, who was outstanding.""

| Sunday 13th February - Hendon 1 Forest United 10 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s were given a lesson in coping with difficult conditions on
Sunday morning as Forest United won 10-1 at Copthall. The early returns were
quite promising, but once Forest had opened the scoring after a quarter of
an hour, the goals flowed at a regular and alarming rate. Five at half-time
became seven midway through the second half, at which time Hendon reduced
the arrears through Mark BLOOMAN. It didn't take long for Forest to get back
to goal-scoring ways and they added three more in the last ten minutes. "Our
heads went down after half-time," said a disappointment manager Paul
Hornblow. "Forest played the better football in the conditions, but it was
the same for both sides. Man of the match was Mark BLOOMAN."

 |
| Sunday 30th January - Pitshanger 6 Hendon 4 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s battled very hard, but could not overcome the fact that
they had only ten players for the whole match and capitulated late on, going
down 6-4 against Pitshanger on Sunday afternoon. It looked very promising in
the first half as Mark BLOOMAN and Matty HORNBLOW put Hendon 2-0 up.
Although Pitshanger hit back to equalise, Assam ZAID restored the Hendon
lead before the break. Pitshanger equalised again, only for BLOOMAN to give
Hendon their third lead of the day. But tiredness set in and Pitshanger
scored three times without reply to take the points. "We slaughtered them in
the first half," said manager Paul Hornblow, "but with only ten players, and
no substitutes, we ran out of steam in the second half. Those who were
there, battled brilliantly and they all deserve man of the match."

 |
| Sunday 23rd January - Forest United 2 Hendon 3 (abandoned) |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s' match against Forest United at Northwick Park on Sunday
morning was brought to an early conclusion when a Forest United player
suffered a badly broken leg in a collision in the Hendon penalty area eight
minutes from time. Unable to be moved from the pitch, it was agreed that the
match would be abandoned. Hendon had done ever so well to race into a 3-0
half-time lead, thanks to goals from Mark BLOOMAN after 25 minutes, Matthew
HORNBLOW after 33 and BLOOMAN again two minutes before the break. Forest hit
back in the second half and scored after 60 and 70 minutes to make it 3-2
before the game was brought to its premature end. Hendon goalkeeper Gilad
BEER, collided with the Forest player as he cleared the ball and the Forest
player came off worst. Both teams agreed it was a complete accident. "We
played brilliantly today," said manager Paul Hornblow, "but any pleasure was
ruined by the horrible injury. Gilad BEER was my man of the match."

| Sunday 19th December - County cup match forfeited |
 |
|
Unfortunately the under 15's were forced to forfeit their county cup match at Northwood this morning as when the kick off deadline arrived they were unable to field a side. Manager Paul Hornblow has been forced to transport the players on public transport this season due to the lack of parents willing to help with transport. This morning they were held up by delays on the Metropolitan Line, which meant that they were unable to arrive at Northwood in time to play the game. Due to the circumstances of the delay, the club are considering putting in an appeal to the Middlesex FA.

| Sunday 12th December - Hendon 2 Pitshanger 0 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s came out on top of Pitshanger in a thoroughly entertaining
Harrow Youth League Division Three encounter at Copthall on Sunday morning.
The opening goal came just two minutes before half-time, and it was scored
by Fuad ABUUKAR. And the fans had to wait for half an hour for another goal,
this time Assam ZAID getting his name on the scoresheet. It was enough for
Hendon to grab all three points. Manager Paul Hornblow said, "This was a
real end-to-end game and it was very tight but we managed to get the goals.
My man of the match was Fuad ABUUKAR; not only did he score the opening
goal, but he played very well throughout."

 |
| Sunday 5th December - Headstone Manor B 4 Hendon 3 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s suffered a disappointing defeat against a Headstone Manor
team they had beaten 5-0 at home just a couple of weeks ago. The away Harrow
Youth League encounter was effectively decided in the opening 25 minutes,
during which time Manor scored three times without reply. Just before the
half-time whistle, Salah ABUUKAR reduced the arrears and hopes of a complete
recover grew when Fuad ABUUKAR made it 3-2 ten minutes after the restart.
But it was all over when a dubious penalty decision went against them in the
62nd minute. The converted spot-kick left the Greens with just too much to
do, although Salah ABUUKAR did set a grandstand finish with four minutes to
go. "I thought we'd get something from the game at 3-2," said a crestfallen
Paul Hornblow. "But after we conceded the penalty our heads went down."

| Sunday 14th November - Hendon 8 Larkspur Rovers B 3 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s gained swift and sweet revenge for their 4-3 heartbreaking loss against Larkspur Rovers’ “B” squad a week earlier when they ran out 8-3 winners at Copthall on Sunday morning. Hendon fell behind in the second minute, but were level after 12 minutes when Govind THETHEY scored. Just before half-time Matthew HORNBLOW gave Hendon the lead and HORNBLOW extended the advantage early in the second half. Salah ABUUKAR made it 4-1 after 47 minutes, followed by HORNBLOW’s hat-trick strike five minutes later. Although Larkspur Rovers did reduce the arrears on 56 minutes, Mark BLOOMAN made it 6-2 on the hour mark. There was still time for HORNBLOW to make it a four-timer and BLOOMAN to complete his brace before Larkspur Rovers netted a last-minute consolation. Man of the match was four-goal star Matthew HORNBLOW.

| Sunday 7th November - Larkspur Rovers B 3 Hendon 4 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s thought that their fine second half comeback from 2-0 down
had been enough to earn a share of the points, until a controversial late
penalty broke their hearts. Trailing to goals after 20 and 35 minutes,
Hendon got back into the game thanks to an OWN GOAL after 56 minutes and an
equaliser from Carmichael BOOIS seven minutes later. Although Larkspur
regained the lead after 69 minutes, Tariq KAMEL restored parity within a
couple of minutes. Then, with just seconds remaining, a Larkspur player went
down in the Hendon box, the referee pointed to the spot and the penalty was
converted. "I am gutted," said coach Paul Hornblow. "We did so well to come
back and then we conceded a late penalty. But overall we kept losing
concentration and silly mistakes cost us. My man of the match was goalkeeper
Scott BYRNE. He is normally an outfield player, but had to go in goal in an
emergency. He had a blinder and could not be blamed for any of the goals."

| Sunday 31st October - Hendon 8 Harlington 1 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s enjoyed an easy victory over Harlington in Division Three
of the Harrow Youth League at Copthall on Sunday morning. They took the lead
after six minutes through Carmichael BOOIS and were rarely troubled after
that. Salah ABUUKAR doubled the advantage after 11 minutes and, ten minutes
before half-time, Darren THOMAS made it 3-0. After Matthew HORNBLOW had
opened the second half scoring in the 55th minute, Harlington hit back with
their consolation goal, only for Salah ABUUKAR to make it 5-1 after 63
minutes with his second goal. HORNBLOW grabbed his second goal after 66
minutes, and Fuad ABUUKAR, Salah's brother, stretched the lead further four
minutes later. The last word belonged to HORNBLOW, who completed his
hat-trick in the final minute. Coach Paul Hornblow was delighted with what
he had seen, saying, "We played some blinding football. We were a bit slow
in the first 10 minutes, but after that we were superb, playing one-touch
football all down the pitch. My man of the match was centre-half Omar ABDOU.
He was outstanding and held everything together.

| Sunday 24th October - Headstone Manor B 1 Hendon 2 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s' problems in collecting kit for the Harrow Youth League
match meant the game had to be forfeited, but the teams agreed to play a
friendly instead. The match was won 2-1, with Salah ABUUKAR scoring for
Hendon in the first half and, after Manor had equalised, Darren Thomas got
the winner.

 |
| Sunday 17th October - Hendon 5 Headstone Manor B 0 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s took the field against Headstone Manor's "B" squad with the
bare 11 players because a number of players were celebrating Ramadan.
Nevertheless, even though they spent the final 30-odd minutes with just ten
on the pitch, they were rarely threatened. Salah ABUUKAR opened the scoring
after 27 minutes and Matthew HORNBLOW made it 2-0 just before half-time.
Salah ABUUKAR got his second two minutes into the second half, then watched
his brother Fuad ABUUKAR limp off injured. It didn't stop Salah ABUUKAR from
completing his hat-trick after 46 minutes and Carmichael BOOIS wrapped up a
dominating performance with number five just before the end. "We played them
off the park," said a happy coach Paul Hornblow. "Even when Fuad Abuukar
limped off we were on top. It was a very good performance by the whole team,
but the man of the match was Salah ABUUKAR, who scored a fantastic
hat-trick."

 |
| Sunday 10th October - Hendon 2 Willows 3 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s were a little unlucky to go out of the Harrow Youth League
Cup at the hands of a very strong Willows outfit at Copthall on Sunday
lunchtime. Willows took the lead after eight minutes. Hendon replied through
Mark BLOOMAN after 20 minutes and the teams turned around level-pegging.
However, Willows regained the advantage soon after the interval. Matthew
HORNBLOW, a second half substitute, restored parity after 47 minutes leaving
the game balanced on a knife-edge. With ten minutes to go, Willows were
awarded a penalty for handball and the spot-kick was duly converted to send
the team from two divisions above Hendon through to the next round. "We gave
them a really good game," said coach Paul Hornblow, "but we didn't get the
breaks. Our man of the match was Daniel SANDERSON, our goalkeeper, who made
a number of great saves.

| Sunday 3rd October - Hendon 1 Kensington Dragons 2 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s could not recover from their poor start against Kensington
Dragons at Copthall on Sunday morning and slipped to a narrow defeat in the
Harrow Youth League Division Three encounter. It was a very disappointing
and disjointed performance by Hendon in the first half and a two-goal lead
was the least Kensington deserved at the break. After coach Tony Moran had
read the team the riot act and told the boys a few home truths, it was a
different side that took the pitch in the second; the formation and the
attitude both changed significantly and, six minutes into the half, Hendon
pulled a goal back through Assam ZAID. With ten minutes to Mark BLOOMAN was
less than the width of a post from bringing Hendon back on level terms as
his powerful drive struck the woodwork. Sadly that was the closest Hendon
came to claiming a share of the spoils and Kensington hung on for victory.

 |
| Sunday 26th September - Harlington 1 Hendon 9 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s produced a fine performance in overcoming Harlington 9-1 on
Sunday morning. The game was never in doubt after two goals in four minutes,
from Saleh ABUUKAR and Assam ZAID, gave Hendon a cushion in the opening
quarter of an hour. Fuad ABUUKAR, Saleh's brother was the next to score,
notching in the 22nd minute. Although Harlington pulled a goal back just
before half-time, ZAID and Fuad ABUUKAR both grabbed their second of the day
in the minutes after the break. Mark BLOOMAN got in on the act after 50
minutes, before Saleh ABUUKAR made it 7-1 fifteen minutes from time. With
nine minutes left, Saleh ABUUKAR completed his hat-trick and, not long
after, BLOOMAN grabbed his second. Stand-in manager Mark Crawford said, "It
was a good overall performance, but our finishing could have been more
clinical. My man of the match was Fuad ABUUKAR, with sweeper Omar ABDOU next
best."

 |
| Sunday 19th September - Hendon 1 LNER St Georges 3 |
 |
|
Hendon Under-15s were undone before kick-off when one of the squad failed to
turn up leaving manager Paul Hornblow with just ten players to take on LNER
St George's at Copthall Playing Fields on Sunday morning. It proved to be
just too big a handicap to overcome, although the overall performance
pleased Mr Hornblow. The first half was quite even, but LNER took the lead
after half and hour. Two minutes into the second half the lead was doubled,
but Hendon hit back through Fuad ABUUKAR midway through the period. As
Hendon tired LNER exploited the spaces and made it 3-1 with ten minutes
remaining. "We battled very had and played quite well," said Mr Hornblow.
"But it was very difficult with only ten players. My man of the match was
Omar Abdou, who is normally a centre-half but he played everywhere today and
was superb."
