Sunday 24th April - Hendon 4 Kodak 0

Hendon Under-12s have fulfilled their target of a Harrow Youth League Division Two top-three finish with their 4–0 defeat of Kodak at Claremont Road on Sunday morning. They got off to a great start when Jerrel BEST scored after 18 minutes, and Damilola THOMAS added another before half time. In the second half, Max NQAI stretched the lead before Dean ROSENTHAL rounded off a good team performance with number four. "It was a super performance by the team today," enthused manager John Creith. "We worked really hard and got our reward. My man of the match was Julian MIKA, who was exceptional in midfield."

Sunday 17th April - Bessingby Park Rangers 1 Hendon 2

Hendon Under-12s made it a perfect weekend for the youth teams as they came from a goal down to defeat Bessingby Park Rangers in the Harrow Youth League on Sunday morning. With a victory over Kodak at Claremont Road next Sunday morning, the team will finish a highly creditable third in the Division Two table. Bessingby got the first goal eight minutes before the break, but Damilola THOMAS equalised seconds after the break. The winner came from Dean ROSENTHAL with ten minutes remaining. "We had to do a job today," said manager John Creith, "and they boys stuck to theirs tasks really well. The performance was excellent, especially Joseph BRIEFEL, my man of the match."

Sunday 10th April - Old Isleworthians 2 Hendon 3

Hendon Under-12s were very disappointing in going down 3–2 at Old Isleworthians’ "B" squad on Sunday morning. They made the perfect start when Jerrel BEST opened the scoring in the second minute. Eight minutes later, the scores were level, but BEST snatched his second of the game in the 13th minute. This time Isleworthians needed only five minutes to draw level and that was the way the game stayed until midway through the second half when the home team scored the winner. "I am disappointed to say the least," said manager John Creith. "We simply weren’t hungry enough, especially in the second half. My man of the match was Damilola THOMAS, who played everywhere in midfield and was one of the two players who showed the appetite necessary."

Sunday 3rd April - FC Roundwood 1 Hendon 2

Hendon Under-12s took a huge stride towards claiming a top-two finish in the Harrow Youth League Division Two when they came from behind to snatch a stunning victory over FC Roundwood on Sunday morning. Hendon started slowly – maybe a reaction to their celebration of the senior youth team’s victory the previous evening – but managed to reach half-time all-square. It took only a couple of minutes of the second half for Roundwood to take the lead, but Hendon were in determined mood and they got back on level terms after 42 minutes. A goalbound shot was blocked on the line by a Roundwood defender and although no red card was produced, a penalty was awarded and Damilola THOMAS made no mistake from 12 yards. It seemed as if the game was going to end in a draw until, two minutes into stoppage time, Jerrel BEST ran forward, looked up and drove a powerful shot into the roof of the net for Hendon’s winner. Manager John Creith said, "I am delighted with the win; it gives us a chance of taking second place in the table. We had a number of players away, including the goalkeeper, so Fraser FOWLE had to take over between the posts and he did very well. But my man of the match was Jerrel BEST, not only did he play well up front – he was quick and strong – but he got the winning goal too."

Sunday 27th February - Hendon 2 FC Roundwood 2

Hendon Under-12s missed the chance to leapfrog over second-in-the-table FC Roundwood at Copthall on Sunday morning and had to settle for a point after a late equaliser. Damilola THOMAS had given Hendon the lead after 23 minutes, but Roundwood drew level within seconds of the second half kicking off. It was nip and tuck after that, but Roundwood snatched the lead with five minutes to go. However, in the last minute of normal time, THOMAS grabbed his second goal to save Hendon's blushes. In stoppage time, he could have won the game, but fired just wide in a one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper. "We didn't play particularly well today," admitted manager John Creith, "but they are second in the table so a point isn't a bad result. Damilola THOMAS saved our blushes with his second goal and he is my man of the match."

Sunday 20th February - Hendon 4 Headstone Manor B 0

Hendon Under-12s completed the double over Headstone Manor's "B" squad, winning 4-0 away in this Harrow Youth League Division two fixture. Dean ROSENTHAL got things started with a goal after four minutes, and Michael PRINGLE doubled the advantage with a crisp finish midway through the first half. Four minutes into the second half, Julian MIKA made it 3-0 and Rosenthal was unlucky to have a second goal disallowed six minutes later. In the 54th minute, Damilola THOMAS got his now almost regular goal to complete the scoring. Manager John Creith was delighted with the result, saying, "We coped very well with the bitterly cold, blustery conditions. My man of the match was Jahrell BEST, who was excellent throughout."

Sunday 30th January - Hendon 2 Kentish Town 3

Hendon Under-12s slipped to a narrow defeat at home to Kentish Town at Copthall on Sunday morning. Max NQAI gave Hendon the lead after six minutes, but within a couple of minutes, Kentish Town were level, and they took the lead three minutes before half-time. Nine minutes into the second half, the prolific Damilola THOMAS equalised and there were no goals for the next 20 minutes. With 6 minutes remaining, Kentish Town snatched their winner and although Hendon created a number of chances, they could not find a third goal. "We put in a disappointing performance today," said manager John Creith. "We had a number of chances to save the game, but didn't take them. Our referee, Steve Rogers - the club's joint-webmaster - had an excellent game, as usual, but in all three matches he's done, we've lost, so I'm not sure we want him again!! My man of the match was central defender Patrick CRINNIGAN. He played a great game and kept his head when all those around him lost the plot."

Sunday 23rd January - Hendon 9 Headstone Manor B 0

Hendon Under-12s made short work of Headstone Manor's B squad at Copthall on Sunday morning, taking a two-goal inside the first ten minutes and running away with this Harrow Youth League Division Two encounter 9-0. Damilola THOMAS opened the scoring after three minutes and Julian MIKA made it 2-0 six minutes later. After Dean ROSENTHAL netted in the 13th minute, THOMAS grabbed his second and Fraser FOWLE added number five, both before half-time. All the second-half scoring came in an eight-minute period. ROSENTHAL got his second after 50 minutes, followed, sixty seconds later, by THOMAS's hat-trick goal. Max NQAI got in on the act after 55 minutes, before ROSENTHAL completed his hat-trick a short while later. "We were brilliant today," enthused manager John Creith. "We got on top and never stopped. My man of the match was Ryan McKENNA."

Sunday 9th January - Celtic A 1 Hendon 6

Hendon Under-12s avenged their pre-Christmas 3-0 defeat against Celtic with a fine performance on Sunday. Dean ROSENTHAL got things started with the first goal, after 10 minutes. Four minutes later Jahrell BEST got his name on the scoresheet and Hendon moved into the comfort zone when Damilola THOMAS made it 3-0 a minute before the break. Although Celtic did cut the deficit after 41 minutes, THOMAS made it 4-1 four minutes later. In the 48th minute, Max NQAI got in on the scoring act and NQAI added his second half a dozen minutes later. With seconds remaining, Hendon conceded a penalty, but it was missed. "I am very pleased with the performance today," said manager John Creith. "When we lost 3-0 at home them a few weeks ago, we left our shooting boots behind, but today we had them and it showed. My man of the match today was Damilola THOMAS; he played in left midfield and produced an outstanding performance."

Sunday 12th December - Harrow St Marys 2 Hendon 5

Hendon Under-12s showed excellent spirit in coming from behind to win at Harrow St Mary's on Sunday. Ryan McKENNA gave Hendon a tenth minute lead in this Harrow Youth League Division Two match, but Harrow St Mary's were level after 21 minutes. That was the way the game stayed until half-time and it was Harrow who took the lead in the 44th minute. This stirred Hendon into action and Dean ROSENTHAL equalised two minutes later. Only two more minutes had elapsed when Hendon took the lead for good, thanks to Alan ABERDEEN's effort. And the same two-minute gap separated Hendon's third and fourth goals, with Julian MIKA making it a debut to remember with this goal. In the 53rd minute, Hendon made the game safe ROSENTHAL's second. "We battled really well," said happy manager John Creith. "We had a couple of new boys today and they did really well, especially, Julian MIKA, who played everywhere in the midfield and got the man of the match award for his work."

Sunday 5th December - Hendon 0 Celtic A 3

Hendon Under-12s dominated most of the first half of this Harrow Youth League encounter at Copthall on Sunday morning but fell victim to rapier-like forays into their defence. Celtic "A" managed just two attacks of note in the opening half, and scored from both of them, after eight and eleven minutes. After that, Celtic were happy to defend in numbers and ride their luck, most notably when a shot from Dean Rosenthal beat the goalkeeper but stuck in the mud just before the goal-line. With a minute to go, Celtic wrapped up the points with a third goal. "We were really caught on the break today," bemoaned manager John Creith. "They had two attacks in the first half and scored from both of them. But we left our shooting boots behind this morning."

Sunday 21st November - Hendon 5 Bessingby Park Rangers 2

Hendon Under-12 continued their run of good recent form with a 5-2 defeat of Bessingby Park Rangers in the Harrow Youth League Division Two at Copthall on Sunday morning. For the third consecutive match, however, they found themselves a goal in the early stages, this it was in the first minute. However, Tony TEEGAN levelled matters after three minutes, and Damilola Thomas put them in front after 11. THOMAS grabbed his second three minutes into the second half and although Bessingby pulled a goal back after 49 minutes, THOMAS completed his hat-trick in the 51st minute. Four minutes from time, Ify IJEOMA finished off the scoring as Hendon eased clear. "We had to do a lot of reshuffling today," said delighted manager John Creith. "Our first choice goalkeeper was injured so defender Jake PAUL had to take over between the posts and a couple of midfielders had to fill in for absent defenders. Jake, who has goalkeeping experience, was the man of the match today; he couldn't be blamed for any of the goals. I think today's result has pleased me more than any other one this season."

Sunday 14th November - Kentish Town 1 Hendon 8

Hendon Under-12s were far too strong for Kentish Town at Clitterhouse Playing Fields on Sunday morning, running out winners 8-1. They got off the worst possible start conceding a goal after just five minutes, but once Max NQAI had equalized after 19 minutes the result was never in doubt. Damilola THOMAS gave Hendon the lead after 24 minutes and THOMAS got his second two minutes later. On the stroke of half-time NQAI got his second too. An own goal from a Dean ROSENTHAL corner made it 5-1 early in the second half, before ROSENTHAL got on the scoresheet in his own right. With eight minutes to go, Fraser FOWLE made it 7-1 and Ify IJEOMA completed the scoring in the last couple of minutes. Man of the match was defender Patrick CRINNIGAN.

Sunday 7th November - Hendon 7 Harrow St Marys 0

Hendon Under-12s enjoyed a comfortable Harrow Youth League Division Two victory over Harrow St Mary's at Copthall on Sunday morning. Fraser FOWLE opened the scoring after five minutes and Dean ROSENTHAL made it 2-0 soon after. Damilola THOMAS got another goal after 28 minutes and the lead should have been extended on the stroke of half-time, but Fowle missed a penalty. Joseph BRIEFEL scored after 41 minutes before THOMAS got his second midway through half. With ten minutes to go, THOMAS completed his hat-trick and Ify IJEOMA completed the scoring in the final few seconds. "We played OK today," said manager John Creith. "Our defence had a very solid performance, but we could and probably should have scored more. Man of the match was right back Tony HONOUR. He had an exceptional game."

Sunday 31st October - Kodak 1 Hendon 7

Hendon Under-12s overcame the shock of conceding a penalty, which was missed, and a goal in the opening three minutes, to record fine 7-1 win at Kodak in the Harrow Youth League on Sunday morning. A minute after going a goal down, Damilola THOMAS equalised. In the 16th minute, Dean ROSENTHAL put Hendon ahead to stay and the lead was extended by THOMAS after 21 minutes. Both Thomas and Rosenthal had further goals disallowed before THOMAS completed a first-half hat-trick two minutes before the interval. After the break, Hendon again took their time to get going but, after ROSENTHAL had got his second after 44 minutes, Joseph BRIEFEL, 47, and THOMAS, 53, ensured the Greens ran away with the game. "It was a superb all-round display," purred manager John Creith. We worked very well as a unit. My man of the match was centre-half Hunter EVANS. He mopped up everything around him and, apart from the first three minutes, nothing went past him.""

Sunday 24th October - Hendon 9 St Josephs B 0

Hendon Under-12s bounced back to winning ways with a comprehensive demolition of St Josephs' "B" team at Copthall on Sunday morning. Damilola THOMAS completed a first-half hat-trick with goals after 8, 26 and 29 minutes to send the Greens into the break leading 3-0. After half-time Iffy IJEOMA bagged a hat-trick (34, 36 and 58 minutes), Ryan McKENNA got two more (46 and 57), while Alan ABERDEEN made it nine with a goal in the last minute. With more than a quarter of the squad away on holiday for half-term, manager John Creith could field only ten players for the match, "But it was a fantastic performance," he gushed. We outplayed them for the whole match even though we had only ten players. What we had lacked in fitness and finishing recently has been worked on and we punished St Joseph's today. My man of the match was Fraser FOWLE."

Sunday 17th October - Sandgate 6 Hendon 2

Hendon Under-12s must wish cup ties last ten minutes less than the regulation hour length of their matches, because they would have again been cup heroes. However, despite drawing 2-2 with Sandgate after 55 minutes, four goals in as many minutes ended Hendon's interest in the Middlesex County Youth Cup. Hendon trailed to a goal after just four minutes, but it was the only score of the half and, three minutes into the second period, Dean ROSENTHAL netted an equaliser. Sandgate regained the lead four minutes later, only for ROSENTHAL to grab another equaliser with quarter of an hour remaining. Then came the late heartbreak. "We played really well and were on top for much of the game," said manager John Creith. "Unfortunately, they hit us at the end of the game and we couldn't come back. My man of the make was Jake POOLE, who played really well at left back."

Sunday 10th October - Hendon 2 Old Isleworthians B 3

A week after going close to upsetting Old Isleworthians' first squad, Hendon Under-12s almost overcame their B team on Sunday morning. Dean ROSENTHAL gave Hendon the perfect start, scoring after just two minutes, but Old Isleworthians equalised midway through the first half. Goals four and 14 minutes into the second half gave Isleworthians a two-goal cushion, but Hendon's fightback was brave and stirring, if ultimately unsuccessful. ROSENTHAL scored his second goal, three minutes from time, curling in a corner direct from the quadrant. Then, with a minute to go, Ryan McKENNA set up Tony TEEGAN, who lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper, but watched in horror as it bounced inches wide of the post. Manager John Creith was very disappointed when he said, "We played well in spells, but we were defintely second best today. There is lots of work to do still. My man of the match was Dean ROSENTHAL."

Sunday 3rd October - Hendon 3 Old Isleworthians A 8

Hendon Under-12s can hold their heads up high after a superb performance in the Harrow Youth League Cup. It took a four-goal burst in the final ten minutes to ensure that last season's Premier Division champions, and this term's pace-setters, overcame a Hendon team which finished in the middle of last season's Division Three. Isleworthians scored after ten and 15 minutes, but were pegged back by a goal from Hendon's man of the match, Max NQAI. Seven minutes before the break and barely 60 seconds after, Isleworthians added a pair of goals, but Hendon weren't done. Tony TEEGAN reduced the arrears almost immediately with a fine goal and when Damilola THOMAS knocked home a rebound following Dean ROSENTHAL'S free-kick, Hendon were just a goal behind with almost 15 minutes to play. Sadly it was not to be as Isleworthians' greater strength and fitness told in the last ten minutes and they added four more goals.

Sunday 26th September - Hendon 0 Belmont United 2

Hendon Under-12s felt very aggrieved to go down to a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Belmont United, against whom they had drawn away a week earlier. Two disallowed goals proved crucial. The first, after 12 minutes, would have given Hendon a lead, but the referee ruled the scorer had his foot raised too high as he netted. Five minutes later Belmont took the lead. Early in the second half a second Hendon goal was ruled out, this time on a borderline offside decision from the referee's assistant. Then, in stoppage time, Belmont grabbed a second goal to ensure there would be no comeback this week. Manager John Creith said, "We were very unlucky and we played really well. It could have been a different story if our disallowed goals had been allowed to stand. My man of the match was goalkeeper Nico CACCIAPAGLIA, who made some outstanding saves and was generally terrific."

Sunday 19th September - Belmont United 3 Hendon 3

Hendon Under-12s came desperately close to recording a famous come-from-behind victory over Belmont United on Sunday morning. They got off to a great start when Tony TEEGAN gave Hendon a 1-0 lead, but two goals in three minutes around the 20-minute mark saw Belmont take a lead into the interval. And the advantage was increased to two goals five minutes after the restart. However, the comeback was started by Max NQAI midway through the half and, seven minutes later, Damilola THOMAS snatched an equaliser. Then, with a minute or two remaining, Iffy IJEOMA was inches wide with an effort that would have brought all three points. "We battled back so well today," said manager John Creith. "Last week Belmont won 8-0 so I must be happy with our performance. My man of the match was central midfielder Alan ABERDEEN. He was magnificent today."

Sunday 12th September - St Josephs B 0 Hendon 6

Hendon Under-12s kicked off their Harrow Youth League season with a magnificent victory away at St Joseph's B. With five newcomers in the squad, they totally dominated the game, allowing their hosts only two long-range efforts in the 60 minutes. One of the new boys, Damilola THOMAS opened the scoring after seven minutes and, three minutes later, the lead was doubled by Tony TEEGAN. Nine minutes before the break Dean ROSENTHAL made it 3-0. Midway through the second half, Alan ABERDEEN got his name on the scoresheet before ROSENTHAL (51 minutes) and THOMAS (58) bagged their second goals of the game. "I am delighted," said manager John Creith, himself enjoying his first competitive match in the charge of the squad. "We were in control throughout the game. My man of the match was Damilola THOMAS."
