Despite the large number of Hendon managers over the years, ony six were voted for, as follows:
| Pos |
Manager |
| 5th |
Ken Payne |
| |
Jimmy Quail |
| 4th |
Johnny Evans |
| 3rd |
Ron Burgess |
| 2nd |
Ted Hardy |
| 1st |
Frank Murphy |
The two managers who ended up
in first and second places ended up some way ahead of the others, but
Frank Murphy won the accolade of Greatest Ever Hendon Manager by preventing
relegation in his first season, but then following it up the following
season by taking the Greens to the highest league position for many years.
He also won three trophies, and took Hendon on three great F.A. Cup runs.
