Saturday 13 May - Middlesex Intermediate Cup Final

Congratulations are due to Pat Austin and his boys in the Reserves. Last Saturday, thanks to a goal by Mickey Seeman after about 20 minutes, they beat Harefield 1-0 at Wealdstone in the Final of the Middlesex Intermediate Cup and so come what may this afternoon [Middlesex Senior Cup Final second leg] our cupboard will not be entirely bare this season. This is also some compensation for their disappointment at losing at home to Kingstonian the previous Thursday and thereby depriving themselves of any chance they might have had of winning the league. As it is they have finished third with 40 points from 30 games. By and large however the Reserves have had a most successful and happy season and the Club could hardly have had a more likeable and sporting bunch of lads to represent them. The team against Harefield was Ron Whiteaker; David Lane, Jim Cattle; John Edgecombe, Ray Kingsland, George Rocknean; Peter Howard, Fred Hilling, Mickey Seeman, Brain Woozley, David Jukes. Saturday 15 October - Hendon 0 Hitchin Town 0

The reserves had to be content with a goalless draw after having most of the play in their home fixture against Hitchin. Admittedly the Hitchin goalkeeper made some excellent saves but there were occasions when he should have been beaten.

Saturday 10 September - Hendon 5 Woking 2

The reserves beat Woking at home by five goals to two, the scorers being Jim Delaney three, Pans Charalambous one and Mickey Salter one. Those who were lucky enough to witness the game were immensely impressed by the excellent performance of all the players, and great credit is due to Pat Austin for the team spirit he has inculcated.
